Next part of CPU benchmarking. This time up to First generation of Core i7 and Phenom II. There is significant overlap with the previous article - but this time measured in somewhat more modern SW. Also the game benchmarks are improved thanks to GeForce GTX 1080 - no CPU limit possible.

CPU-Z Benchmark (MT)

CPU-Z's benchmark is a quick, synthetic test designed to gauge both single-core and multi-core CPU performance. It provides a general idea of a CPU's speed and overall capacity, but it is not a comprehensive or highly accurate benchmark.

Geekbench 4 (MT)

Geekbench 4 introduces several new and updated CPU workloads. These workloads are larger and more ambitious than the workloads in Geekbench 3, and are designed to put more stress on the CPU, its cache, and its memory subsystem. These updated workloads include several well-known codebases that are used every day on mobile devices, such as LLVM, SQLite, and PDFium. These updated workloads model real-world tasks and applications, and provide an objective measure of the performance of the CPU in your phone or laptop. Y-Cruncher v0.7.10 - 1B

Y-cruncher is a program that can compute Pi and other constants to trillions of digits. It is the first of its kind that is multi-threaded and scalable to multi-core systems. Ever since its launch in 2009, it has become a common benchmarking and stress-testing application for overclockers and hardware enthusiasts.

Y-cruncher contains multiple executables, each tuned specifically for the target CPU architecture.

GPUPI 3.2 - 100M

GPUPI calculates the mathematical constant Pi in parallel by using the BPP formula and optimizing it for OpenCL and CUDA capable devices like graphics cards and main processors. It's implemented with C++, STL and pure Win32 to avoid unnecessary dependencies. The result of the benchmark are exactly nine digits of Pi in hexadecimal. Here the OpenCL is used to run the benchmark on a CPU.

3DMark11 - CPU Test
