Next part of CPU benchmarking. This time up to First generation of Core i7 and Phenom II. There is significant overlap with the previous article - but this time measured in somewhat more modern SW. Also the game benchmarks are improved thanks to GeForce GTX 1080 - no CPU limit possible.
Chips and Cheese Memory Benchmarks
From this article on, I decided to include the Chips and Cheese benchmarks in my testing suite. There are three tests used - Cache and Memory Latency,
Core to Core Latency and Cache and Memory Bandwidth. Originally, I used only the first two and added Cache and Memory Bandwidth later, which is the reason
for missing data on some processors.
Select the CPU from the drop down list, the charts will update automatically. Arrow keys can be used to move to the next CPU. Some bugs might be present in the charts,
especially the Y-axis scale is a bit off. The chart library doesn't like logarithmic scale very much. I might look into that in the future. But for now this will do.
