Second part of the CPU benchmark project. This time starting with early Pentium III and Athlon Classic and following the CPU development up to the end of 2001 when Pentium III-S, Pentium 4 and Athlon XP were the top.




Cinebench R10

Classic rendering benchmark. Version R10 is very universal as it runs even on Pentium-class processors (despite official Pentium III requirement) and can be used even on relatively modern CPUs where R10 results still are relevant.

POV-Ray v3.7 RC7

Beta version of freeware raytracer POV-Ray can utilize multicore processors. There are two scenes used - chess2.pov and woodbox, both at 800 × 600 px without anti-aliasing.

Google Octane 2.0

Octane measures performance of JavaScript code execution in web browser environment. Firefox 33.1 was used. This benchmark greatly benefits from SSE2 and therefore Pentium 4 is much faster than Athlon or Pentium III. Google Octane 2.0 score doesn't count towards rendering chapter summary and total performance summary.
